John Gaines is Photo Editor for the Hawk Eye in
Burlington. His photo work can not only be sampled in
the daily paper, but five of his photographs were chosen
to represent Iowa in the book IOWA 24/7. The 24/7
series is a project published by Doring Kingsly to take
one 24 hour period and have photographers take  
pictures that truely represents life in each state.

John Gaines is also the photographer used for the
modern postcard to the left. This is one of three of his
photographs that are being used as postcards in the
new millennium.
