Ft Madison children's author, Andrea R. Crooks grew up in the
beautiful, hilly, snowy area surrounding Bismarck, North Dakota,
and spent many happy hours as a child sledding, ice-skating,
and making snow forts with her many siblings. She is a high
school English teacher in Iowa with twenty-five years of
classroom experience. She and her husband of 33 years have
raised three children and now enjoy six grandchildren.
